FAQ

Do I need to buy a drone separately?

No. AeroSurvey is delivered as a complete turnkey solution. You receive the appropriate drone hardware along with a professional remote controller that has our software pre-installed, configured, and calibrated. It is ready to fly out of the box.

Who is AeroSurvey designed for?

AeroSurvey is designed for:

  • Professional surveyors
  • Transition service providers
  • Lessors and asset managers
  • Technical teams requiring consistent exterior records

It is not designed to replace licensed inspection roles.

Can AeroSurvey be used within existing survey and leasing workflows?

Yes. AeroSurvey is designed to integrate into established workflows, including:

  • Delivery and redelivery surveys
  • Lease return documentation
  • Event-related exterior records

Outputs are exportable and can be incorporated into existing reports, archives, and asset records.

Is AeroSurvey compatible with different teams and locations?

Yes. Repeatability is a core design principle:

  • Aircraft-type specific missions
  • Fixed capture perspectives
  • Standardized output structure

This enables consistent documentation, even when different teams or locations are involved.

Does using AeroSurvey require regulatory approval?

AeroSurvey itself does not introduce new regulatory requirements, as it does not perform regulated inspection or release functions. Operational use of drones remains subject to:

  • Local aviation authority rules
  • Operator permissions
  • Site-specific safety procedures

AeroSurvey is designed to operate within those existing frameworks.

What data is generated and who owns it?

AeroSurvey generates exterior images and associated metadata. Data ownership remains with the customer.

No data is published or shared by default. Data handling follows customer-defined policies and requirements.

Is the data secure?

Yes. Data processing happens on ISO 27001 certified servers located in Germany. We employ end-to-end encryption for transfer and storage.

How long does a scan take?

For a narrow-body aircraft (e.g., A320, B737), a full exterior scan typically takes between 30 to 45 minutes, depending on local conditions.
